PECELab advances research, education and technology to support open knowledge production across disciplines, generations and geography.

PECELab develops the Platform for Experimental, Collaborative Ethnography (PECE), open source software supporting virtual research and learning environments that encourage data preservation and sharing, collaborative analysis and interpretation, and creative research communication. PECE development is led by the PECE Design Group, working closely with the PECE Advisory Board and PECE Community. Mike Fortun directs the PECE Lab.

The  PECE Design Group leads technical development of PECE, running multiple instances of PECE (supporting different research communities) to direct this development.

The PECE Advisory Board provides big picture, comparative perspective to guide PECE development.

The PECE Community connects PECE users around the world, sharing news through the PECE Newsletter and the PECE Slack channels
